This workshop will begin with the history and evolution of the Sanskrit language. We will delve into the fascinating world of Sanskrit literature, from the ancient Vedas, through to the profound Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali and the illustrious Sanskrit Epics. In the second half of the workshop, we will focus on mantra: discerning the essence of mantra, taking examples of different types of mantras and looking at how they can be incorporated into your yoga practice and daily life. Join us for this invaluable insight into the world of Sanskrit, the language which much of yoga practice and philosophy is grounded in.
There is a certain sense of magic in the air when women gather in circle, a type of electric buzz. A deep resonance of all of the women that gathered before us, before our time, and those who gather in their circles around the planet, seems to rise up and support and hold us as we gather and speak.
